The RSP-PV4.5-600-2P surge arrester is a high-performance type I+II surge arrester specifically designed to protect photovoltaic (DC) installations from direct and indirect lightning and induced surges. This product meets the requirements of IEC 61643-31, providing effective protection for PV equipment and installations. The RSP-PV4.5-600-2P is mainly dedicated to the protection of PV strings and small PV systems.

Protection

The high-energy varistors (MOVs) built into the RSP-PV4.5-600-2P surge arresters effectively protect them against overvoltage and lightning, preventing the generation of follow-up current. Two independent MOV modules with separate indicators are used in each pole, so that the arrester continues to operate even if one of them fails. This solution guarantees continuous protection and allows the faulty module to be replaced at a convenient time.
