Relpol’s product range now also includes RCB residual current circuit breakers with overcurrent protection, combining two protective functions in a single device.
In addition to protection against residual current, they also protect the circuit against overloads and short circuits. This means that one device can perform functions which, in many installations, would otherwise require a separate residual current device and an overcurrent protective device.
Two types of protection in one device
The RCB monitors residual current and disconnects the protected circuit if the permissible value is exceeded.
At the same time, the overcurrent protection element responds to excessive current caused by an overload or short circuit. This solution reduces the number of modules required in the distribution board while providing comprehensive protection for an individual circuit.
Relpol RCB circuit breakers are designed for 50/60 Hz circuits with a rated voltage of 230 or 400 V, and their rated current ranges from 6 to 40 A.
1P+N and 3P+N versions
The series includes:
- 1P+N versions for 230 V installations,
- 3P+N versions for 400 V installations.
The rated residual operating current can be 30 mA, 100 mA or 300 mA, and depending on the application, Type A and Type AC versions are available.
For overcurrent protection, B, C and D tripping characteristics are available, allowing the circuit breaker to be selected according to the type of protected circuit and the characteristics of the connected loads.
A solution for modern distribution boards
RCB circuit breakers are mounted on a standard DIN TH35 rail. They can be supplied using either fork-type or pin-type busbars, from the top or from the bottom.
The devices are also equipped with a residual current trip indicator, making it easier to identify the cause of circuit disconnection. Conductors with cross-sections from 1 to 25 mm² can be connected to the terminals.
