RIS isolating switches
Relpol’s range of modular devices has been expanded to include RIS isolating switches, designed for the manual switching on, switching off, and isolation of electrical circuits.
These types of isolating switches are primarily used as main switches in distribution boards and electrical assemblies. They make it possible to disconnect an installation, or part of it, from the power supply, which is particularly important during maintenance, servicing, and modernization work.
The new RIS series is designed for AC circuits and includes versions with rated currents from 16 to 125 A.
Versions from 1 to 4 poles
Depending on the type of installation, the following versions are available:
- 1P – for a rated voltage of 230/240 V,
- 2P, 3P and 4P – for a rated voltage of 400/415 V.
The rated current range includes 16, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 80, 100 and 125 A, allowing the device to be selected for a wide variety of distribution and control circuits.
Easy installation in distribution boards
RIS isolating switches are designed for mounting on a standard DIN TH35 rail, making them easy to integrate into typical modular distribution boards.
The devices can be supplied using either fork-type or pin-type busbars, from the top or from the bottom. Conductors with cross-sections from 2.5 to 50 mm² can be connected to the terminals.
A practical design feature is the contact position indicator, which allows the switching state to be checked quickly. A transparent label window also makes it easier to identify individual circuits in the distribution board.
For distribution and control circuits
The RIS series has been designed primarily for AC 50/60 Hz distribution and control circuits, with a rated voltage of up to 400/415 V and current up to 125 A. The rated insulation voltage is 690 V, while the rated impulse withstand voltage is 6 kV.
