RCD residual current circuit breaker is intended for AC 50/60 Hz circuits with a rated voltage of 230 V (2-pole version) or 400 V (4-pole version) and a rated current up to 63. A residual current device (RCD) automatically and rapidly disconnects the circuit power supply when the residual (leakage) current exceeds its rated residual operating current (IΔn). In doing so, it provides protection against electric shock. A device with an IΔn ≤ 30 mA also provides supplementary protection against direct contact. It further protects the installation against the effects of leakage currents, including fire. It may also be used for infrequent circuit switching under normal operating conditions.
The circuit breakers are suitable for industrial and commercial applications, as well as high-rise and residential buildings.
