Relpol Company is 60 years old

RELPOL SA which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, is the only company in Poland which manufactures electromagnetic relays. In the course of its existence, the company changed its name several times but production of relays has always been the primary activities. For more than twenty years now, the company has been manufacturing MV protection devices and systems of radiation portal monitors.

The company commenced its activities in 1958 when, under the Ordinance of Minister of machine Industry No. 30 a decision was made to establish Zakład Przekaźników [Relay Factory] as a branch of REFA Production Plant in Świebodzice.

On January 1, 1965, under the Decision of the PA & AP Association of 12.17.1964., the company becomes part of MERA-LUMEL Lubukie Zakłady Aparatów Elektrycznych [MERA-LUMEL Lubuskie Electrical Apparatus Factory]. The company obtains full independence in July 1982 when Zakład Przekaźników is established in Żary.

 

The Polish political changes do not omit Zakład Przekaźników. In December 1990, the Employees Board decides to privatize the plant. As one of the first companies in Poland, Relpol is privatized in employees share ownership plan. In March 1991, Relpol SA [Joint-Stock Company] commences its activities to remain in this legal form and under this firm up to this date. In 1996, Relpol enters the Warsaw Stock Exchange as 55th company in Poland.

 

Nowadays, apart from electromagnetic relays, Relpol SA manufactures time relays, monitoring, programmable, installation and interface relays. The products are used in the area of industrial and power automation, power electronics, industrial and applied electronics, telecommunication, household appliances, etc.
