The Badge of Honor for contributions to the development of the economy of the Republic of Poland was awarded on July 3, 2024 during the Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Financing Forum, which was presented by Deputy Minister Waldemar Sługocki and awarded by Minister Krzysztof Paszyk.
The award is the result of cooperation between Relpol S.A. and the University of Zielona Góra. It was joint work on the design and creation of a new bistable relay improving the energy of electromagnetic relays, allowing for reducing energy consumption and, consequently, ecological and financial benefits.
The development team included employees of the Relpol Development Department and employees of the Institute of Automation, Electronics and Electrical Engineering and the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zielona Góra.
From the scientific side, the project was headed by Prof. Ph.D. engineer Robert Smoleński - Director of the Institute of the University of Zielona Góra, also awarded the Badge of Honor for contributions to the development of the economy of the Republic of Poland.
