Is there an ideal relay for high-current applications? Yes, it is the RS80 relay with double break and contact gap ≥ 4.1 mm

This relay has a HIGH switching current of up to 80 A and a ULTRA-LOW holding power of just 0.1 W.  This is not the end of its features and it is also worth noting:

- VERY low rated power of 0.48 W

- VERY low power consumption at pick-up voltage (0.27 W)

- VERY short release time of 3 ms

This relay with such high capabilities needs however very small PCB area, only 45 x 25 mm.  More...
